Hi,
Do you know if the Center for Biodiversity and Indigenous Knowledge is still running, and where I can find some contact info or ways to get involved? Thanks a lot. – James, USA
Hi James. Unfortunately, I think CBIK might be gone. I’ve updated the URL for their website, above, which seems to be a single page talking about what their activities were, all in the past tense. I don’t know anyone who’s worked with them in the past several years.
Hi, I was wondering if you know of any domestic or local NGO’s in Kunming or Yunnan that are working in biodiversity conservation? Thanks! – James
Hi James. Unfortunately, I don’t know of any specifically. You might try getting in touch with The Nature Conservancy, and seeing if they might be able to be of more help to you!
the oxfam link is old, one that works is http://www.oxfam.org.hk/en/default.aspx
Best,
Laurens, from the Netherlands
Hi
Great Blog
My question is
Is there a beekeeping or honey-producers organisation taht I might be able to get in touch with in Yunan?
Hello! Have you heard anything about Minds Abroad/Impact Abroad (impactabroad.org) and their legitimacy? Thank you!
Hello,
I am a writer currently working in Shangri la doing some research with an NGO on cultural preservation. Do you know of any NGOs in Kunming who focus on preserving the culture of Tibetans and other minority groups?
I am interested in artisans and the effects (be it good or bad) of tourism.
If you cab help I would be very grateful,
Thanks in advance,
Natalie
